For our bachelor/bachelorette party we all went to see Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. It was fun and entertaining.
*Warning Mild Spoilers*
Very simple get in get the tablet save people get out. Could be like any standard adventure with weird and wonderful things all around.
The love story was a little odd and ended with a little bit of a copout but it is a kids movie.
The pacing was pretty quick very, the lulls in the action were filled with a little development and lots of Amy Adams.
I’m not a big fan of Stiller, he gets on my nerves, but he was good in this movie and the supporting cast held it up around him.
All the supporting actors were awesome and all our favorites, and not so favorites, came back for the sequel. They added a few extras that were pretty good but in my opinion Amy Adams stole the show. Every scene with her was magic and any other scene started to feel long without her.
The special effects were amazing but didn’t feel forced. The integration was great and I could barely see any obvious “Crystal Skull” moments.
I think they should leave it at that and move on. A third movie would be pushing it unless they found a way to change the concept a little. Even then we don’t want another Son of the Mask
If you want a decent movie to laugh at and enjoy Amy Adams half as much as I do then I say go see it. It’s a fun movie.
I give it 7.5 on 10.
