Today on the day of Canada’s confederation, let us remember that we are on stolen land. Ottawa sits on un-ceded Algonquin Anishinabe land. We are guests here and should act accordingly. Last year, we cancelled Canada Day due to 250+ children discovered in mass-graves on residential school grounds. That number is so much higher now.
This is not acceptable and we need to do better! Write your MP and MPPs and see what they’re doing about clean drinking water, quality of life, and colonial racist policies that unfairly target Indigenous people.
