I’m not sure if it’s photo-bombing if the photographer knows that you’re planning on jumping into the photo, and then waits for her to do it, but here is the end result. Say hello to one of my classmates!
Sacrificing table
What better way to celebrate Christmas than to look at a picture of the TARDIS on an ancient Egyptian sacrificing table! I got yelled at for taking this picture. Apparently we were supposed to know that this wasn’t a replica. Honestly, who doesn’t have 4000 year old art behind some sort of case or barrier? Got the picture, though!

The Metropolitan Museum of Art
We had a little over an hour to check out the Metropolitan Museum of Art. (Twitter) I recommend much longer than that! A half day at the very least. Also, when paying the entrance fee, it says in large letters “$25”, and then in smaller letters “Recommended”. We paid about a dollar or fifty cents (I can’t remember) each to get in. And no-one looked at us as though we were horrible people.
Statue of Liberty
Due to the fact that we weren’t allowed to go into the Statue of Liberty, the closest we got to it was the Staten Island Ferry. This is an excellent (free!) vantage point from which to get pictures, although perspective shots don’t really work!

Old Police Department
The old NYC police headquarters used to be at 240 Centre St in lower Manhattan. They have since relocated, and the building, now a New York City landmark, has been renovated into apartments. Pretty cool place to live! You can go here to find out more.
Times Square 2
The other side of Times Square, where the seats are. Did you know that underneath those risers is the TKTS booth? This is where you can get discounted Broadway show tickets. Guess which show I went to see!

This view of Times Square has the New Year’s Eve ball on display. It changed colours every few minutes, and was very distracting to watch, although maybe that’s just me!

Carnegie Hall
When we walked past Carnegie Hall, I was very excited, but not for the reason that the tour guide thought. She asked who we knew that had performed there, and I said, with high enthusiasm, “John and Hank Green!!!!” Everyone looked at me with a blank expression on their faces. “Who?” *sigh*
