This is the town hall (I think) for the area we were staying in (Clichy, in the North of Paris). It was advertizing an Easter Egg hunt in the park in front of it!

This street felt like any in Ottawa, but with subtle differences. I don’t know enough about architecture to explain it, but the buildings were not at all like the ones here.

We were in Paris over Easter weekend in 2018, and this was what the streets looked like on Easter Monday.
A sight that has become uncomfortably familiar, I’m sure, thatnks to Covid-19.

I really felt like a queen, walking down this staircase. I could imagine wearing one of those huge dresses and walking gracefully…until I realized how sloped the steps were! Yikes! We ended up carefully holding the railing as we descended

You could go to visit the King and you’d get to watch him dine. Not exactly an experience that I’d want, but it’s better than watching him use the chamber pot in his quarters…

Big fan of busts. They’re culture and they don’t move! Who might this one be of? Someone important, to be sure.

The detailing on the fireplace! And look at the embroidery work on the footstools! Quarantine project? lol

Look at the detail on this, down to the flowers!
And you can spot Jen and Eric in the wild! 😉
