A statue of the goddess Diana (Roman) or Artemis (Greek). She’s my second favourite of the gods (Persephone is the best, imho).

No, not the TV show! THe Hall of Mirrors was packed during Easter weekend of 2018. Can you spot the Travelling TARDIS’s creator?

Nobody is paying attention to the TARDIS at all. It blends in very well with all the mirrors and crystal chandeliers.

There were really interesting art pieces throughout the palace, and this one caught my attention. Cherubs on a battlefield?

This hall was gorgeous, but HOT and CROWDED. You can’t see all the people in this picture because of cropping, but it makes the hall look much bigger.

This bust makes me think of the one that Anna dances with in Frozen, that ends up stuck on top of the cake. It looks like it’s made of chocolate, but I guess that would’ve melted from the heat in this room.

It is really difficult from these pictures to understand what it was like to be there. How crowded it really was, how small the rooms were, how grotesquely ornate everything was.

This is the corner of one of the rooms in the King’s wing. The candelabras caught my attention, but the really important thing to notice here is the wallpaper. You’re not allowed to touch it because it wears away over time!
