I, like many Whedon Fans, watched Dollhouse last Friday. It was good but the ratings were terrible. I think as far as Pilot episodes go, it’s on par with most of Whedon’s work.

My fiancée picked up Twilight the book in July and quickly went through the whole series. I’d heard a lot about the story before hand and I’d read a good quarter of the book.
I knew what to expect when I walked into the theatre and I wasn’t disappointed, but I wasn’t amazed either. The movie has many strengths that make it worth watching.
I was expecting cat calls and screeching the whole movie but the audience I saw it with was very respectful.

I’m a huge fan of webcomics and as I’ve mentioned before, I’ve even written a script for one that someday I’ll draw or ask a friend to help me draw. I’m always looking for new ones and I tend to be reading between fifteen and twenty at a time.
A few months ago I found Odd-Fish and fell in love with it.

Before I start ranting about Fourth Edition, here’s an article from GeekDad over at Wired that I completely agree with and think has some wonderful ideas

Dungeons and Dragons Fourth Edition
I’d like to preface this by saying: I am not an expert on RPG’s I’ve played D&D 3.5 almost exclusively for the past five years.
With that said I haven’t enjoyed fourth edition. It seems stiffening for both the GM and the players.
Yes, I’m a twenty five year old guy who went to see High School Musical 3. I of course went with my beautiful fiancée. I’ll state in advance that the first two High School Musicals were guilty pleasures for me. They’re not the greatest movies in the world, they’re cheesy, awkward, and beyond ridiculous but a lot of fun.
You can’t start comparing these to classic Musicals like Sound Of Music or Fiddler on the Roof. For what they are they succeed on almost all counts.
I’ve seen the first four episodes of Sanctuary and I like it. It has a great classic Sci-fi feel to it. Very episodic so far and I’m looking forward to seeing if it’s going to have an overall arc or keep going with cool separate episodes.

It seems that there are only two opinions about this show, Love and Hate. I never read the books that the show is based on, Charlaine Harris’s Dead Until Dark. I also wasn’t a huge fan of Ball’s previous show, Six Feet Under. It was ok but not enough to get my attention; all this to say that I had very little expectations going into the pilot episode.
